American College Dance Association Adjudicated Concerts present works of choreography by students, faculty and guest artists from across institutions of Higher Education in New England as part of a 4-day conference. Each work is considered by a professional panel of national artists, who take notes and comments between dances during brief pauses. The distinguished panel includes, Licia Perea from Los Angelos, CA (Founder and Director of the BlakTina Festival), Robin Wilson (MI - University of Michigan/founding member of Urban Bush Women) and Peter DiMuro (MA - Executive Director of The Dance Complex). The evening highlights all dance styles and genres and showcases the strength of artistry across dance programs in New England. Plymouth State University's own Dance Division is proud to welcome over 300 participants to our campus in celebration of dance education, innovation and collaboration.
Audience members should be aware that brief pauses will take place between each dance. Similarly, conference participants may move in and out of the theater based on additional events taking place as part of the full conference.
